Expert Care
Our experienced team brings skill and passion to every project, no maYour dog's safety is our highest priority. Every caregiver undergoes a comprehensive background check with a clear criminal history, pre-employment drug screening, including random drug screening, and an extensive interview process before joining our team.
Each team member has at least five years of hands-on dog handling experience and is trained in canine behavior, safe handling techniques, medication administration, basic first aid, and canine CPR. We carefully match experience with responsibility so you can feel confident knowing your dog is in knowledgeable, capable hands no matter the size.

Emma Fulcher
Owner & Founder
For Emma, dogs have never been simply a passion—they’ve been a lifelong profession. As the founder of New Era K9s, she has dedicated her career to responsible German Shepherd breeding, canine behavior, training, and providing exceptional care for dogs throughout every stage of life. Her mission is to preserve the German Shepherd breed through ethical breeding practices while providing knowledgeable, individualized care that allows every dog to thrive.
As an American Kennel Club (AKC) Breeder of Merit, Emma has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to responsible breeding, health testing, genetic preservation, and producing German Shepherds with exceptional temperament, structure, and working ability. She is an active member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America and has participated in Schutzhund, further expanding her dog handling experience with working dogs, obedience, temperament, and breed development.
Emma specializes in canine behavior, training, and pack management. Through years of working with dogs in both breeding and boarding environments, she has developed an in-depth understanding of canine body language, learning theory, socialization, behavioral development, and communication. She believes that every behavior is a form of communication, and understanding those behaviors is the foundation of building trust, reducing stress, and creating positive experiences for dogs.
Over the years, Emma has successfully raised, trained, and managed a personal pack of 10 German Shepherds, showcasing her extensive experience handling multiple dogs safely while maintaining structure, routine, and harmony. Successfully managing a pack requires far more than experience—it requires understanding individual personalities, pack dynamics, resource management, behavioral triggers, and how to safely introduce, supervise, and advocate for every dog in your care.
As a breeder, Emma has guided puppies from birth through adulthood, gaining extensive knowledge in whelping, maternal care, puppy development, early neurological stimulation, confidence building, socialization, and temperament evaluations. This comprehensive understanding allows her to recognize subtle behavioral and health changes early while tailoring care to meet each dog’s individual needs.
Unlike high-volume commercial facilities, New Era K9s intentionally maintains a personalized approach. Emma believes quality should never be sacrificed for quantity. Every dog receives individualized attention, structured routines, careful supervision, and care based on their unique personality, energy level, and behavioral needs, ensuring that expert dog caregivers are always on hand.
Whether she is selecting breeding pairs, evaluating puppy temperaments, boarding a first-time guest, or helping a nervous rescue dog feel comfortable, Emma approaches every dog with the same philosophy: patience, consistency, structure, and respect. Her experience in breeding, canine behavior, training, and pack management allows her to understand dogs beyond basic care, creating an environment where they feel safe, confident, and understood.

James Morrou
Handler
James is a proud United States Air Force veteran with over 10 years of military service. Throughout his career, he developed the discipline, leadership, and attention to detail that continue to define his work today. His military experience taught him the importance of accountability, professionalism, and remaining calm under pressure—qualities that are essential when caring for animals.
During his time in the Air Force, James gained valuable experience working alongside Military Working Dogs, honing his dog handling experience and developing a strong understanding of canine behavior, handling techniques, and the importance of consistency, trust, and structure in a dog’s environment. This foundation, combined with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, allows him to confidently care for everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs and working breeds.
James is committed to providing every dog with patient, compassionate, and individualized care. As one of the expert dog caregivers at New Era K9s, he shares our dedication to safety, reliability, and treating every dog like family. His military background, extensive canine experience, and unwavering work ethic give families peace of mind knowing their beloved companions are in capable hands.
Taylor Hinton
Director of Operations & Client Experience
Since 2023, Taylor has been a trusted leader across multiple businesses owned by Emma, playing a vital role in daily operations, business development, and client experience. Through years of working side by side, she has become an indispensable part of the New Era K9s team, known for her reliability, professionalism, and exceptional attention to detail.
As Director of Operations & Client Experience, Taylor oversees the administrative and logistical operations that keep New Era K9s running seamlessly. She manages client onboarding, reservation coordination, scheduling, vaccination record verification, inventory management, website administration, social media, and client communications.
